Hotel Sábalos

Here, you will live right in the middle of nature. Hotel Sabalos is situated in the south of Nicaragua directly at the confluence of the river Sabalos and the river Rio San Juan, very near the border to Costa Rica. Hidden in the paradise of the large natural reserve of Rio San Juan and in a welcoming family atmosphere, you will find all you need to relax.

You can start out on canoe or motorboat tours from here or make a trip on horseback or on foot. You can explore the tropical rain forest, take a look at El Castillo, an old Spanish fort, or visit the beautiful group of islands of Solentiname where there is also a colony of artists.

The river Rio San Juan is a paradise for anglers.
From the hotel terrace itself you can watch the tarpons playing in the river.

Fish and crayfish cuisine are a specialty of our kitchen, well known in the region for its quality national and international dishes. The restaurant also offers meat dishes, of course, and many other delicious preparations.

The heart of the hotel is a large terrace built above the water.

A long and wide passageway right on the edge of the water takes you to your room and guarantees cool and fresh air. There are altogether 20 beds in 10 rooms.

From the rooms you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the river and the nature.

All rooms are equipped with private bathrooms with hot and cold water from our own deep well. For drinking purposes, we serve water that is bottled and tested. This we also use in the kitchen.

The rates do not include tax (I.V.A. 15%).
